A compound supplied in several vial sizes has one page comparing every fill side by side, with the specification and the certificates they share. The rest link straight to the vial.

What a copper peptide is

A peptide carrying a copper(II) ion as part of the molecule, not as an additive.

The copper is coordinated, not mixed in

A copper peptide is a complex: the peptide's donor atoms coordinate a copper(II) ion, and the resulting molecule has a defined stoichiometry and a mass that includes the metal. This is the distinction that matters when reading a label. The vial does not contain a peptide and some copper salt side by side — it contains a single species in which the metal is bound.

That is also why the material looks the way it does. The lyophilised powder is blue-green rather than white, and the colour comes from the copper centre's electronic transitions. A copper peptide that arrives white has either lost its metal or was never complexed.

GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu are different tripeptides

Both are three-residue sequences complexed with copper, and the names differ by one letter, which makes them easy to conflate. GHK-Cu is glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine with copper; AHK-Cu substitutes alanine for the glycine. They are separate substances with separate certificates and separate catalogue numbers, and this site lists them as such.

GHK-Cu is also catalogued in the literature as copper tripeptide-1, and search traffic for it is split across that name, the hyphenated form and the unhyphenated "ghkcu". All three refer to the same molecule, and all three are registered as alternate names on the product so a search for any of them resolves to the right vial.

Handling the complex

Copper complexes are more sensitive to their environment than the uncomplexed peptide. Sealed, lyophilised and kept away from light and moisture, the material is stable in transit; the coordination chemistry is what is being protected, and a complex that has been through a freeze-thaw cycle in solution is not necessarily the species the certificate describes.

Every copper peptide lot here is released against the same HPLC specification as the rest of the catalogue, and the certificate in the box reports the lot it was produced from.

Sold-out listings stay published rather than being removed, so their specifications, catalogue numbers and certificates remain readable while the compound is out of stock. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
